Alain - Vocals
Alain discovered his passion for hard rock and heavy metal at a young age. Through his passion he discovered many different bands and other music genres that were not yet known to a large audience. That's how he got into the grunge genre and he took over the lead vocals of the Luxembourgish band Purple Haze in 2001-2004. The band mainly played on the national stages, but when the guitarist disappeared after a trip to France and Alain started his studies, the band was dissolved.
Since Alain was still very interested in music, he took music lessons (theory, piano, guitar, singing lessons) for several years. He played roles in two Luxemburgish musicals, in 2015 in the musical "Kveldulf" and in 2017 in the musical "E Living an America".
In late May 2022 he finally joined Next Deed completing their line up.
His main inspirations come from the grunge, hard rock and heavy metal genres. Some of his favorite bands are Creed, Seether, Pearl Jam and Nine Inch Nails.
Sue - Guitars & Backingvocals
Sue discovered her passion for music at a very young age. First she took piano lessons for 2 years before switching to the guitar. Until 2009 she played mainly for herself and her friends.
In 2010, Sue co-founded the symphonic metal band Elysian Gates, with which she toured the national and international scene for almost 10 years.
After deciding to leave EG, she put the guitar and music on hold for a while until she found the spark again and briefly played for the band My Harbor. Since this band was dissolved and the chemistry with the My Harbor drummer Lou was right, both founded Next Deed in 2021.
Sue’s favorite guitar players are Richie Sambora, John Petrucci and Mark Tremonti. Her favorite bands are Alter Bridge, Tremonti, Stone Broken and Mason Hill.
Kevin - Guitars & Backingvocals
Kevin comes from a musical family. His grandfather passed on his love of music and he started playing the guitar at the age of 12. He taught himself for a year to learn the basics, then took lessons with a private teacher for 5 years. In 2010 Kevin joined the CMA (Campus of Contemporary Music) in Valenciennes, where he met many people, especially his teachers Paul Alain Fontaine, Aymeric Silvert and Frank Marco, who inspired and taught him a lot.
In May 2011, Kevin became one of the first teachers at the Music Factory in Luxembourg, where he taught for 7 years. In June 2011, Kevin participated in an electro/classical/rock project with the group "Zig Zaton", whose founder is Olivier Urbano, in partnership with the Dijon Conservatory.
He performs "L'hiver" by Vivaldi, where he replaces the first violin with the electric guitar. In March 2018, Kevin left Music Factory and became a freelance guitar teacher to start his own business.
Between 2008 and 2024, Kevin released two solo albums and played in several projects and bands, including progressive metal bands Hailjak and Hopescure.
Now Kevin has joined Next Deed and is motivated to participate in this new musical project.
His musical influences come from bands like Queen, Dream Theater, Pink Floyd, Scorpions, the music from Hans Zimmer and many more.
His favorite guitar players are Brian May, John Petrucci, Guthrie Govan, Santana …
Lou - Drums
Lou started playing and studying music at the age of 3 years. After 20 years of classical education, he started to play the bass guitar for the well-known Luxembourgish Rockband Vintage Gigolos.
After the dissolution of the band in 2016, he paused a few years … but: Rock’n Roll never dies! In 2020 he met Sue (Guitar), and they decided to form a new band and that was the very beginning of Next Deed.
Lou’s musical inspirations reach from classic genre to hard rock music.
Romain - Bass
Romain, an avid fan of all types of rock music, found his instrument relatively late in life.
Before he could read a single note, he bought his first bass at the age of 17.
Far from any theoretical knowledge, he tried to play the songs of his idols at the time.
Skills were developed and Romain tried jamming with everyone around him who had either a guitar or drums.
Over time, influenced by many styles, punk rock took a special place in his heart... which would shape much of his life as a bassist and even as a songwriter.
Years later, when he least expected it, he dared to step out of his comfort zone and joined Next Deed with his first 5-string bass.
Favorite bands: The Offspring, Green Day, Iron Maiden, Rise Against, Blink 182
